Maximize the efficiency of your articles and eBooks

After reading a number of articles of various contents, I have
discovered two points that are now and then forgotten by authors
and that decrease the efficiency of all articles.

I recommend that you should form the following two habits:

- Quote, offer and refer to your articles/eBooks/sites

- Quote, offer and refer to someone else’s resources only for a
certain compensation

Both rules should become habitual and be followed automatically;
only then your articles and eBooks will bring maximum benefit to
you!

If the reader enjoyed your article or eBook, he or she won’t
refuse to read one of your other subject-relevant articles or
eBooks. Why don’t you offer the reader to take a look at other
works from your collection of ideas and knowledge? If you can’t
embed links in the article, you can create a section named
“other related resources” in the end of the article and simply
list the links there.

When you offer someone else’s sites and products to your
readers, you actually bring new visitors and potential customers
to the owners of these sites and products. The main point is
that if your article was helpful, the visitors have positive
feelings towards this product! You have a right to demand
compensation from the product’s owner. If they don’t have
affiliate programs and don’t offer commission for purchases made
after following your link, you should negotiate another form of
compensation (for example, links to your resources).

Finally. As an example, I’d like to take our product: eBook
Maestro. If you’re writing an article or an eBook about
creating electronic books, explain how to compile eBooks using
our program and provide a special link to it. All your readers
who decide to create an eBook will buy our program, and you’ll
get 40% of its cost! Besides, you can get a special edition of
the program where your affiliate links are embedded.

Ebook Review: The Rich Jerk!

EBOOK DETAILS
File Size: 1,116kb Zipped, 688kb Unzipped.
Number of Pages: 63
Format: Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
Subject: A guide to making money on the Internet.

ABOUT THE RICH JERK
If you have seen his website then you probably think that the Rich Jerk is some arrogant, rude, jerk. Aside from that little is known about the true identity of the Rich Jerk. He does make quite regular posts in his blog located at http://www.therichjerk.com/blog/ which does give you an insight. He has also held the top spot on ClickBank and still holds a relatively high position today. Other than that the Rich Jerk and his identity is still shrouded in mystery.

ABOUT THE EBOOK
“The Rich Jerk’s Guide to making Money on the Internet” (to give the ebook its full name) details seven ideas you can use to make money on the internet which are:

· Creating an Affiliate Website!!
· Search Engine Pay Per Click (PPC) Strategies!!
· Search Engine Optimisation!!
· Selling your own Information Product!!
· Buying wholesale and selling on eBay!!
· Websites you can make Profitable Right Now!!

For each of the above topics the Rich Jerk explains how you would go about setting them up. On top of this he has also included bonus materials which include; “Other Online Ventures to consider”, “Supplemental Info for Beginners”, and “Quality Products Services that are Recommended.”

Overall, the Rich Jerk is a good ebook for beginners as it gets you thinking about how to set up multiple income streams on the Internet, which is essential for long-term success. It also provides you with enough information to set up each of the above income streams on your own. However, if you want to take each income stream to the next level you will likely have to purchase an ebook related to that stream e.g. an ebook specialising in affiliate marketing. That is the main problem with the Rich Jerk, it is aimed mainly at beginners, and therefore lacks depth. If you are thinking of setting up one or more of the above income streams then the Rich Jerk is a good beginners guide, but if you are reasonably knowledgeable in the above fields then the Rich Jerk is unlikely to tell you anything new.

When I purchased this ebook I was relatively unfamiliar with Internet Marketing outside of eBay so the Rich Jerk proved a useful reference point for me to expand my websites. If you are in this situation the Rich Jerk would be a useful purchase. If not your money would be best spent elsewhere.

GOOD POINTS
· Provides a variety of useful, applicable ideas for making money on the Internet.
· The language is concise and straight to the point with no technical jargon.
· As a reader you are unlikely to have thought about all the possible money making strategies detailed in this ebook.

BAD POINTS
· It is aimed at the beginner so if you are looking to specialise in one particular area this ebook will not be useful.
· Lacks depth in certain areas and some issues are merely skimmed over.

HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM THE RICH JERK
As I have already stated, prior to reading the Rich Jerk I only sold ebooks on eBay. Reading the Rich Jerk opened my eyes to the importance of Internet Marketing outside of eBay. In particular I began to use Google Adsense and ClickBank’s Affiliate Program on my websites. I also began to promote my website through Article Submission (one of the best ways to drive free traffic to your website) and Pay per Click Advertising. Without reading the Rich Jerk I would never have considered these avenues for my business.

A monster Named Criney, Who Makes Kids Whiney - Book Review

Excellent! The best children book of this genre that I have had the pleasure to review!

A Monster Named Criney Who Makes Kids Whiney by Heather Zuckerman can be classified as a juvenile fiction geared for children aged between three and seven. Mood-setting bright color full pages greet the reader upon opening the durable cover. Superb use of rhythmic cadence and clever design entices the reader to use voice characterization and promotes interaction with the readers. Because of these traits, this book would work wonderfully when read aloud to a group of children.

Whenever Criney stops near a home to rest his weary feet, the children inside become upset and whine. The story has Criney ‘visit’ several homes before a solution is found. I think it will help children realize how silly and useless their whining and pouting is. The book goes one step further by teaching children a tool to conquer those awful feelings and change their emotions through laughter. Laughter IS the best medicine after all!

Light-hearted and warm – this book really had me grinning! This could be incorporated as an excellent tool that uses humor to aid parents, educators and anyone else in fields working with younger children, against the nerve-grating whining and anger that all children experience.”

How To Sell And Deliver eBooks On eBay, The Easy Way

As we are all aware, sites such as eBay offer massive potential for large sale streams, and a constant flow of income. The most popular items, by a long way, are digitally delivered goods such as eBooks and Software. This market is set to grow further over the coming years, although buyers are demanding more quality and speedier delivery of the goods.

Many people believe that the hard part of selling on eBay is attracting buyers. How wrong they are!!

While there is obviously competition on eBay, the market is big enough to share, as long as you offer quality goods, at a reasonable price. If you follow this path then sales will follow, up until you reach the next stage.

What is the next stage?

The next stage (and most crucial for a long term business) is customer satisfaction, reliable delivery of goods, on time and efficiently. You need to be able to deliver the goods on time, with simple instructions that anybody can follow.

If your delivery and download instructions are simple and easy to understand, you wont be spending precious time answering questions or resending emails which have not been received by your customers. While it is essential that you make a good impression to customers, the more questions you can cut out, the more time you have to concentrate on generating sales.

How can you guarantee up to date products, delivered on time, with clear instructions?

Rather than set-up your own website, constantly adding and changing your goods for sale, imagine if you could subscribe to such a service.

A service offering you advice on selling and delivering items on eBay, a site which hosts all of the eBooks which you are selling, and a site offering ready made eBay Auction Templates.

The answer to an efficient eBay eBook business is to concentrate on selling and let the experts look after delivery of the goods.

By using such a service, all you need to do is set-up an eBay Auction, take payment from buyers and direct them to your personalised eBook download pages.

Reliable delivery and access to the newest and best selling eBooks on eBay.

The way ahead for a successful eBay eBook Business!!

An eBook Publisher’s Dilemma: Should I Use PDF or Exe Format?

An eBook Publisher’s Dilemma: Should I Use PDF or Exe Format? by
Michael Southon

If you write and publish eBooks, sooner or later you will
probably be faced with a dilemma - should you create your eBooks
as .exe files or .pdf files?

PDF, which stands for Portable Document Format, is the file
extension for files created with Adobe Acrobat.

Exe, which stands for ‘executable’, is the extension for files
created by eBook compilers.

PDF is widely considered to be the ‘industry standard’ for eBook
publishing, and for good reason. Here are some of the advantages
of PDF files over exe files:

(1) With most eBook compilers you have to set up each page of
your eBook as a separate web page. With Adobe Acrobat you can
use a single MS Word file as the source document.

(2) PDF files automatically number each page - exe files don’t.

(3) PDF files are very easy to edit - you can insert pages,
replace pages and delete pages (and the page numbering is
automatically adjusted).

(4) Printing from a PDF file is much easier than printing from
an .exe file.

(5) The ‘bookmark’ column on the left side of a PDF file makes
naviagtion very easy - much easier than in an exe file.

(6) PDF files compress better than exe files, so you end up with
a smaller, more manageable file.

(7) It’s virtually impossible to transmit a virus through a PDF
file - exe files are susceptible to virus transmission and can
become corrupted during download.

(8) Finally, by using PDF you automatically expand your
potential market because PDF files can be read on both a PC and
a Mac (exe files can only be read on a PC). Over 8 percent of
the online population in the U.S. are currently Mac users
(www.nielsen-netratings.com) - not a huge increase in your
market, but nevertheless significant.

But exe files do have some advantages over PDF files, and
perhaps the most important of these is price - most eBook
compilers are a fraction of the cost of Adobe Acrobat.

Another advantage of exe files over PDF is the rebranding
feature. The following eBook compilers all have a built-in
rebranding function:

http://www.ebookcompiler.com/ http://www.ebookgenerator.com/
http://www.ebookedit.com/ http://www.ebookpaper.com/

If you use free eBooks as a viral marketing tool, rebranding is
the key to success, because people are much more likely to
promote your free eBook if they can customize it with their own
affiliate links.

How to Select Fonts for Your eBook Cover

Choosing the right fonts is an important decision you will have to make when designing a quality ebook cover. You will want to choose a font that is readable and appropriate for your audience.

The following general information about fonts will help you to make the right choice:

Size: An ebook cover image is usually a rather small image. Therefore, you have to be sure that the font you use will be readable on the small image. A lot of fonts just don’t work well at very small sizes.

Weight: The term “weight” refers to the thickness of the elements that make up each character in a font. Most fonts have a regular version and a bold version. The bold version has greater weight because the letters are thicker. A bolded font stands out more, even at smaller sizes. Some fonts also offer a “heavy” and a “black” version that is even thicker than the bold version. Arial black, Helvetica black, and Impact are just some examples of popular fonts that are used to create titles and headlines. These fonts also work well for ebook covers.

If you look at book or article titles, you will notice that they tend to be “heavier” and larger in size than any of the other text. This is because the author wants to emphasize the title/subtitle.

Serif vs. Sans Serif: Take a look at the letters in the Helvetica font and Times New Roman font. Helvetica is a sans serif font, while Times New Roman is a serif font. The difference is the extra flourish at the ends of each line in each character in a serif font. The term serif refers to these flourishes. Compare the letter “I” in both of the fonts mentioned above and you will easily see the difference.

Sans serif fonts tend to be more readable when used in titles, subtitles, captions and headlines. They also tend to be more readable at the smaller font sizes. Serif fonts, on the other hand work better where there is a large amount of text (a paragraph or more).

Appropriateness: It’s important that you choose a font that is appropriate for your audience. For instance, if your book is targeted for women, choose a more feminine font. If your book’s focus is children, then it would be appropriate to choose a font that conveys a sense of playfulness. However, regardless of age and gender, if your subject is serious then you would want a font that conveys a serious tone.

Keep in mind that there are no hard and fast rules in this area of font selection. What seems appropriate for a masculine subject in one situation may not be so in another situation. The point here is simply to pay attention to what message and feeling you’re communicating with your selected font.

Here are some more font tips for ebook covers:

• Use one or two fonts. Never use more than three different fonts. Better yet, use different weights of the same font. For example, use Arial Black for the title and Arial Bold for the subtitle.

• Don’t use too much text on your cover. It won’t be readable anyway. The less text you use, the larger and more readable your text will be. You may want to consider using a shortened version of your actual book title for the cover image.

• Use the largest, boldest font for the book title, a smaller size for the subtitle, and even smaller sizes for author name and any additional text.

• Use text colors that contrast with your background to make your title stand out. However, make sure that the color of your text does not clash with the background color. Depending on your background colors, red, white and yellow often work well.

• You can bold, italicize, or underline words and phrases for emphasis. Use italics and underline sparingly. If overdone, you’ll loose the affect and reduce the readability.

• You can make your text stand out with special type effects such as drop shadows and outlines, but use these effects sparingly.

• Use capitals only for short headings. Sentences or paragraphs in all capitals letters are hard to read. For longer headings, use upper/lower case.

• Consider placing the author’s name and the web site URL as a watermark on the cover graphic to make it harder for people to steal your images.

• Put your book title on the spine of large book and box images.

There are literally thousands of fonts to choose from. Build a small collection of fonts that work well for ebook cover design. This collection will probably include the standards like Impact, Arial Black, Arial Bold, Helvetica Black, Helvetica Bold, Times New Roman, Garamond and other fonts you like that are readable and practical in smaller sizes.

Like just about all rules, most font rules can be broken. The bottom line is, if your prospects can not read your book title, or if your ebook cover conveys a message that is not appropriate to your subject, then your choice of font can result in a loss of sales (or free downloads).

115 Ways to Reduce Anxiety – Book Review

Mike Marcoe writes from first hand experience in his book 115 Ways to Reduce Anxiety, providing advice from the view of one who has traveled the road of anxiety for a long time, undergoing therapies and combing through mountains of research. His experience has resulted in this self-help guide to people looking for ways to manage their condition in a proactive and healthy manor.

Mike has a passion for non-fiction educational and self-help genres. He has
attained a BA in English and has been in the writing industry for a number of years
performing as an author, copy editor, proof-reader, a database guardian and has
also worked for a newspaper.

115 Ways to Prevent Anxiety will provide readers with wise nutritional advice, herbal
remedies that may ease anxiety symptoms and plenty of positive, proactive attitude
enhancement skills. The author provides excellent tools for getting peace from
anxiety disorders.

News to me was how dehydration plays a part in nervous disorders – something I
will be much more aware of in the future. I am completely curious about how
philosophy can play a part and I intend to investigate this possibility when I have
more time. Also, I am encouraged by having it confirmed that taking up a variety of
activities - drumming, living an active life, regularly doing meditative and breath
enhancing yoga, walking the dog and gardening – has been a good step in the right
direction for me. I truly feel like I am on the right track to taking the power into my
own hands to live a life free of anxiety.

There are no wasted words here. At only 88 pages, the text can be considered short
and sweet. The author’s intent for his book is to entice readers to delve deep inside
and discover what triggers their anxiety, why this happens and learn how to prevent
reoccurrence.

Individuals can reap rewards from this self-help, non-fiction guide – however,
educators would certainly benefit in using this as a workbook in anxiety support
groups. This book is also available in print and electronic formats to fit a variety of
needs.

The Deepest Secrets To E-books

So what is ebook really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about ebook–info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.

Ebooks are part of the new frontier of cyberspace. They are an entirely new medium for sharing marketing information, ideas, techniques, and expert knowledge.

Each day the number of people accessing the Internet grows, causing the exposure of your ebook to increase incrementally. It’s obvious why electronic self-publishing has become so popular so quickly.

The publishing industry, I hope, does not intend to forever banish the printed word to the dustbin of history. Books in print have their own special qualities and merits, and the world would be diminished by their disappearance.

Having said that, let’s look at what makes ebooks so important and so unique. Ebooks have certain abilities and qualities that other mediums do not possess.

For example, ebooks are fairly easy to produce, and their production cost is inexpensive. Just think about it: you don’t need a publisher, an agent, a printing press, offset film, ink, paper, or even a distributor. You just need a great concept, the ability to write it or to hire a writer, and the right software.

Additionally, ebooks are easily and rapidly distributed online. They are also easily updated; they do not require a second print run. All you need is to go into your original creation and modify the text or graphics. Because of this flexibility, ebooks can change and grow as fast as you can type.

Ebooks are also immediately obtainable. You don’t have to go to a bookstore or search through endless titles at an online bookstore. All you have to do is download it from a website, and presto! It’s on your computer, ready to be read.

Ebooks are interactive. This is one of the most unique and specific qualities that ebooks offer. You can add surveys that need to be filled out, order forms for customers to purchase your products or goods, sound and video that draw your reader into the virtual world of your ebook, even direct links to relevant sites that will expand your ebook outward.

The potential is virtually limitless.

Ebooks have a particular kind of permanence that other mediums do not possess. Television shows and radio shows air once, and then may rerun a few times. Ebooks remain on your computer for as long as your choose, and they can be read and reread whenever you choose to. They can even be printed out and stored on the
shelves of your traditional home library.

Another wonderful quality is that ebooks have no barriers in terms of publishing. You don’t need to go
through the endless process of submitting your manuscript over and over again, and then once you land an agent, having the agent submit your manuscript over and over again. Nor do you have to shell out thousands of dollars for printing a self-published book.

All ebooks require is a writer and appropriate software. Figure out your market, write your book, post it on
your website, and with the right business savvy, your audience will come to you.

The best time to learn about ebook is before you’re in the thick of things. Wise readers will keep reading to earn some valuable ebook experience while it’s still free.

Finally, you have creative control over your ebook. You don?t have to compromise with an editor or the publishing trends of the time. You don’t have to haggle with a designer or wait for copyedited galleys to arrive by snail mail. You are in complete control of the design and the text.

How to Use ebooks for Marketing and Promotion:

There are innumerable ways to use ebooks to promote your business and drive quality traffic to your website. Once posted on your site, you can turn them into a daily course, which brings your customer back to read the next chapter.

You can use them as a free gift for making a purchase or for filling out a survey. Put your ebook on a disc, and you will have an innovative brochure. Blow your competition away by inserting the disc into your sales packages.

The most effective marketing products are those that are unique. Copyright your ebook, and immediately, you
have a powerful tool that you, and you alone, can offer to the public. People will have to visit your site to acquire your ebook, which increases the flow of quality traffic and the potential of sales and affiliate contacts.

Make sure that you keep your ebook current. Update it frequently as the market and trends change. Add new advice and techniques to show your prospects how your goods or services can enrich their lives. By constantly keeping abreast of new trends and techniques, you can continue to see profits from your ebook for years after your original creation.

Another phenomenal advantage of ebooks is that you can test their marketing potential without putting out hardly any cash at all. You can even produce an ebook one copy at a time, each time you receive an order, eliminating the need for storage and inventory. By this method, you can gauge the saleablity of your ebook, and make adjustments as necessary until the orders start pouring in.

Ebooks allow you to learn about your market and customer habits and motivation over a period of time, without risking your precious financial resources. They also provide you with an invaluable way to gather marketing information, which you can use in many different facets of your business.

Use your ebook to discover what the specific goals and problems are in your specific industry. Then figure out how to solve these problems, and publish an ebook with this invaluable information. This will increase the value of your business, upgrade your reputation, and get you known as an expert in your field.

You can extend the value of single ebook by breaking the book down into chapters for a serial course, into special reports available on your website, or into audio or visual tapes. Ebooks can be broken down into several different promotional materials by excepting some of the articles and using them to promote your
product.

You can include a catalog in your ebook to promote all the products or services you sell. You can include a thank-you note for reading your book and an invitation to download a trial version of your product. Or you can include a form for your audience to contact you for further information or with questions, thereby building your business relationships and your mailing list.

Using ebooks in this manner helps to cut the cost of individually producing separate promotional materials. You can use a single ebook to entice new prospects and to sell new products to your current customers.

No other medium has this kind of flexibility and ability for expansion. Think of your ebook like a spider spinning a beautiful and intricate web. Now go and create that web, and see how many customers and prospects you can catch!

The day will come when you can use something you read about here to have a beneficial impact. Then you’ll be glad you took the time to learn more about ebooks.

Express and Help Yourself with eCover Engineer

You don’t have to study Marketing in order to know that once you want to sale a product you have to make your offer attractive. You can do that by underlining issues from the content, or, by creating a surface that will charm everybody’s eyes, or, more advisable doing both things. It is not a matter of ethics here, meaning that form doesn’t take over the content! It’s a simple matter: exchanging goods. But when ebooks are regarded maybe, just maybe you should pay more attention! Why? Because, as you may have already noticed, there are just a few of us, readers, left.

Ebooks offer a great alternative to paper-books. But this is not what we are concerned of here. But: how to make it attractive. How to convince the reader he must buy this version and not another one. And who said the cover is not important?! It is very important and not only when talking of marketing. The first impression is very important. Covers must personalize what they hide inside. They contain the title - the main idea that should not be neglected.

You can spend a lot of money paying a designer, but you cannot be sure that he reached the idea, that he expressed the fundamental two things - the message of the book and its conversion meant to seduce the simple viewer.

As you already know, every publishing house preserves its image, through the books it publishes. The style can be seen even in the covers they propose for their books. If you want a style of your own for your e-book cover don’t wait for anybody else’s ideas! Let your own ideas be seen. And don’t worry, it is not as difficult as it may seem.

Using e-cover generator software is not like using a bunch of little programs and waste your time, energy, even your nerves.

ECover Engineer is the secret! If you agree that the first seeing of an e-cover is the moment your customers decide to proceed or to search for another of your products, don’t wait for anything else!

You can create a lot of effects, fill styles, import BMP and JPG files and use free templates in order to obtain a high quality image that will fit entirely your thoughts on how a buyer should regard the insides and to convince him to be your faithful wedded buyer.

In the same time you can mix in your fantasy both pleasure and work, be creative and smart and you may end up loving it more than you could think!
