Abundance consciousness is all the rage these days. And why shouldn’t it be? You want your business to be abundant with cash, and you want to be abundant in your giving as well.

It’s always painful to me watching folks trying to reeeaaaacccchhhhh for an “abundance consciousness” and repeatedly fall short of it. What is this “abundance consciousness” anyway?

The most common ways I’ve seen people try to reach for abundance, is through various techniques that usually boil down to trying to force yourself to believe that you really are okay. Except that you don’t feel okay. You don’t feel abundant. You don’t feel happy, or confident, or sure.

If that’s your experience, I urge you to leave ‘abundance consciousness’ in the dustbin, and settle back into the only thing that I’ve seen work consistently: cultivating a healthy poverty consciousness.

A healthy poverty consciousness(!?)

Have you ever noticed that the miracles usually come through when you’ve finally been forced onto your knees? The cavalry comes over the hill at the last possible moment? That you are saved from what you are sure is going to be certain disaster in the knick of time?

This is a universal human experience. Everyone I’ve met has experienced this. So, what’s going on, and can it be reliably repeated?

What’s happening in these circumstances is an example of the effects of a healthy poverty consciousness. If you think about it, it just makes sense.

When someone is handing you something very special, say a rare crystal vase, or a newborn infant, it is critical that you have your hands empty, and also that you are ready to receive what’s coming. Otherwise, the precious bundle coming to you will either go dashing to the ground (if the other person isn’t watching), or it won’t get handed over at all.

To make this work in your business, apply a magnet, which is your authentic neediness, aka “poverty.” And hold it under your empty hands, aka your humility and a willingness to take responsibility for whatever is handed to you.

Combine these in an authentic, sincere way, and you have just used your poverty as a powerful magnetic attractor, much more powerful than any sense of false abundance you’ve been trying to muster.

How do you cultivate these so you can call the cavalry in when you need them?

Keys to a Healthy Poverty Consciousness

• Neediness: Being comfortable with an uncomfortable magnet.

Neediness is very uncomfortable. When we feel lack, we tend towards either collapsing in fear or sadness, or towards hyperactivity of pushing and trying to ‘make it happen.’

Instead, just stop. Stop. Now, what is it that’s not working for you right now? Allow yourself to feel your lack, your authentic neediness, and notice what that feels like. That’s right, it won’t kill you.

• Humility: Your empty cup waiting to be filled.

Jesus said, ‘The meek shall inherit the earth.’ I believe that meekness does not refer to spiritual or physical collapse, but rather to a humility where we know that some things are beyond us, and that we are willing to accept help.

Try on the idea that you aren’t superhuman. Brainstorm a list of ordinary things that you usually do alone. How could you ask for help in doing them? Not because you aren’t capable, but because you are humble enough to recognize your interdependence with others.

• Responsibility: Accepting stewardship for all that is put in your reach.

Response-ability– it’s really just a willingness to show up with what is, and what is coming. When combined with neediness and humility, you become the cup that is finally(!) emptied, so that you have some space to receive.

Allow your heart to run through all three: feeling the lack and neediness, bowing your head with humility at your inability to force an outcome, and then find the willingness in your heart to fully show up with what is, and whatever comes, without needing to know. What do you notice about how that feels?

If you’ve given yourself enough space for this process, you are probably feeling a lot more connected and relaxed in your heart. It’s time to look back at the original situation: what does it look like now? And, what next step does your heart naturally want to take?

Notice what comes in to your business over the next day or so, and use it as a way to develop your healthy poverty consciousness.

The solution in the implants is not as consistent as silicone, which can lead to wrinkling, drooping and general molding problems. In women with larger bosoms, the saline implants often do not provide much in the way of enlargement as they tend to flatten out. These issues are known to saline implant manufacturers, and new designs are being undertaken to address these issues. Check with your surgeon to find out the latest improvements.

On the health front, saline is undoubtedly safer than silicone. That being said, there are risks associated with pursuing implant surgery. Besides the inherent risk of surgery itself, both saline and silicone implants can have problems with bacterial and fungal infection. Again, your physician can best advise you on the potential risks associated with these issues.

The negatives associated with saline implants are restricted primarily to whether they provide the aesthetic appearance patients are looking for. Compared to the health problems associated with silicone, this is a relatively minor negative.

kinds of wrong assumptions made by well-meaning people who first

SAME DESIRE FOR MORE LIFE THAT YOU HAVE; and this vision,
received from you,sets all the creative forces at work IN
AND THROUGH THEIR REGULAR CHANNELS OF ACTION, but directed
toward you.”

The key phrases, for me, are: “It will be brought to you by
the power of the Supreme Intelligence, acting upon the minds
of men”

and …

“IN AND THROUGH THEIR REGULAR CHANNELS OF ACTION, but directed toward you. “

That object or circumstance, whatever it is you desire, whether or not it is a 2006 Corvette Z06, a vacation cabin in
the woods, or just an Ipod, will appear through regular channels,
as seen by everyone else around you who just expect
to have things happen in their normal, 3-dimensional ways!

Just because someone knows about and applies the Powerful
Principles that most of us are now remembering, it doesn’t
mean that he/she can violate a particular Universal Law.

This particular principle being one that is not going to allow
something to happen that would not correlate with the belief
systems of millions of others who unfortunately live small,
believe that they are Acted upon by Life as helpless victims, and
will not accept anything out of the ordinary.

Meaning: Powerfully Seeing and Feeling the Reality of an Ipod
will not materialize it while others are present, even if
you are very advanced.
This is part of what I believe Wattles was trying
to say. However the particular desire, or something better
will come, through a normal channel:

Someone might just give you one, or you get a surprise refund
from the IRS, etc.

Successful, wealthy people ( I say wealth, as in not just in
money itself) who live in modern civilizations like ours,
create their results in ways that won’t blow people’s minds

- through the existing ways of commerce, or winning a
sweepstakes, etc..

We, by using the principles in books such as Science of Getting
Rich this, are in fact doing things the easy way, the
non-struggling, the Inside-Out approach of seeing and feeling As
If, and feeling the gratitude of possessing that objective..

We create those luscious, wonderful circumstances in the normal
channels that others expect - however things just simply
work soo much easier and only *WE* seem to know that and enjoy
how smoothly life flows!

If we desire a particular car, as an example:

- We see it in our mind’s eye as if were true now

- We do not hold a negative, pining, attachment to having to have it.

- We pay attention to the evidence and the signs that show up

If the Universe doesn’t see a way of creating it by any other
means than money, than it will use the quickest means of
existing channels to create it. This may mean you have an
urge to apply a particular skill, and you apply that skill,
market it, and you have the money for the car.

I have nothing against books that discuss visualization
techniques where you imagine your desire in a pink bubble,
and then you release it.
(After all, most of these do end up discussing the necessity
of being aware and following your gut feeling to drive or
walk to a particular place.)

However, I appreciate Wattles’ explanations of how to not
lose faith in the “metaphysical” just because things will
not magically appear from thin air.

Tanning products, both sunless and sun, go to work on the
epidermis, or the outside layer of your skin, and not the
dermis or inner layer. However, the layer of epidermis that
is affected by sunless versus the layer affected by sun
tanning products differs. Sun tanning lotions, sprays,
gels and other assorted items, go to work on the stratum
basale or deepest layer. And sunless tanning items go to
work on the stratum corneum or outermost layer.

Method 1 - Sunless Bronzers

Some sunless tanning products come in the form of
moisturizers
(as lotions and crmes) and powders and are referred to as
bronzers. Basically you simply apply these to your skin as
you would make up products for a temporary “tan”
appearance,
similar to the effects of applied makeup leaving a “tint.”

Then you just wash the bronzers off with soap and water;
the “tan is removed with washing. Caution is needed so that
the products do not stain clothing or other fabric. And
care
needs to be taken so that the applications do not streak
or run
when wet, similar to the results of mascara running.
And finally, make sure that if you wear these products
outdoors, they contain sunscreen in the ingredients;
otherwise
wear protective clothing, eyewear, etc.

Method 2 - Sunless Tanning Booths

Sunless tanning booths are becoming more popular. With an
air
compressor and an airbrush delivery system in one of these
booths, skin receives a “tan.” What happens is that pistons
in the compressor quickly press or force air out via a
nozzle
in an airbrush or spray head. This air mixes with a tanning
solution containing DHA that’s inside compartments within
the
airbrush, and sprays this in a fine mist over the outer
skin
layer.

Some tanning booths have up to 36 of these airbrushes
connected to the compressor and they are all either in
fixed
positions or moving. Thus tanning clients then either move
under fixed sprayers so that skin is covered all over.
Or else the tanner parts move to spray the different body
parts (these types pose more mechanical maintenance
issues though.)

Method 3 - Tanning Accelerators

For a speedier tan, you might elect to try a tanning
accelerator.
Generally sold as lotions or pills, these products list an
amino
acid called tyrosine in with the ingredients. This amino
acid
is reported (but not proven) by some users to increase the
production of melanin, speeding up the tanning process.
Again, these are not FDA-approved solutions or drugs.

Method 4 - Tanning Lamps

Tanning lamps, unfortunately, can have the same bad effects
on the body as direct sunlight. The equipment emits UV rays
that are just as damaging as the sun’s. Some measures to
take towards safety when using this type of equipment are
closely monitor sessions, keeping to the minimum number and
timed lengths that are recommended, don’t book sessions
closer than every-other day, ALWAYS wear recommended safety
eyewear, follow safety and other directions that come with
the equipment or are (or should be) posted near it, and do
place some sort of protection like a thin piece of acrylic
between your body and tanning lamps.
(Check for this possibility with booths, too, by asking the
host or reading the equipment’s instruction booklet).

In conclusion, when looking for a tanning solution, check
out the variety of products available. Sunless-tanning
products offer safer tanning and many choices of forms
and formulas for everyone across the board from young to
old.
And sunscreen products are definitely needed outdoors and
also
come in a variety of choices for everyone.

Everyday you see people with all color and style of hair. But did you know that you have a hair type? Yes! Not all hair has been created the same.

Lets start with the basic structure of hair:

1) Hair grows from the follicle, which is long and bulbous. If you were to pull out a strand of hair you would see the bulge at the tip of the hair. The cells at the base of the follicle divide rapidly and is where you get your hair growth.

2) Each strand of hair consists of three layers, the first being the innermost layer called the medulla. This is only present though in thick hair though.

3) The middle layer is known as the cortex. This layer provides the strength, color and texture of your hair.

4) The outer most layer is called the cuticle and this is what protects the cortex. It is completely colorless.

5) The entire strand of hair is made up of a protein called keratin. And that is hair!

There are 2 basic kinds of hair:

1) Terminal hair is the hair that grows thick and long and is found on the head, armpits, pubic hair face and chest. (Face and chest on men)

2) Vellus hair is soft short hair that you will find over the rest of your body.

The type of hair you have seems to have to do with geography.

1) If you are of Asian descent, then the hair strands are round and thicker than all other types of hair. With the exception of the red head who has the thickest hair of all.

2) If you are of European descent with blonde or dark hair, then your hair strands are thinner. The strands are round to oval shaped.

3) If you are of African descent, then the hair strands are flat and that is the reason for the frizziness and curl.

It’s interesting to see when you get a mix of Asian genes with African genes or Caucasian with African. I am a white girl with blonde, curly frizzy hair. My parents came from Holland where there is a high concentration of people with African descent. So it’s not hard to see where I got my hair type, which I personally love. It’s a Hair Factor
