CMMS Software - Selecting the Right CMMS

Good Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
that schedules preventive maintenance work orders on your
equipment is an integral component of any efficient
maintenance department. Preventive and scheduled
maintenance, efficiently scheduled, will not only reduce
your maintenance costs, but will minimize emergency repairs
and downtime, resulting in an increase in overall
profitability.

A few years ago, choosing the right CMMS
Software was a much simpler venture. With only a few
programs to choose from, you could do minimal research and
be on your way to implementing a simple and effective
system. But, with the explosion of the maintenance software
industry in recent years, selecting your software has become
a far more complex task. One that involves extensive
investigation and evaluation. Some of the most important
issues to consider when deciding which CMMS is right for you
are cost, stability of the vendor, program features, fast
implementation, support availability, and last but not least
availability of a demonstration program.

Cost is possibly the most important consideration in the
hunt for a CMMS. Quite simply, the most useful preventive
maintenance software in the world is of no use to you if
your company cannot afford the purchase price. For the
maintenance manager on a budget the key to finding the best
software is value. A great strategy for a company selecting
their first CMMS is to look for maintenance management
software that offers low initial cost, as well as
expandability, resulting in the delivery of the greatest
value for your dollar.

Another important factor that is frequently overlooked by
CMMS buyers is the stability of the vendor developing and
distributing the preventive maintenance software. It is
vital to ask how long the vendor has been in business and if
this is the only product that they sell. Choose a system
only from a company that has been in business for a number
of years and that sells only one line of products. This will
minimize the possibility of the company going out of
business or abandoning the product line for one of their
other ventures. After all, a new program or one from a start
up company may seem like a great deal, but if your support
system disappears your maintenance software investment will
quickly become worthless.

Program features are another important component of choosing
a CMMS. Determine what your maintenance goals are and look
for a program that will meet them. For the simplest of
operations you will need to list your equipment, enter
preventive maintenance tasks on that equipment and then be
able to generate and print work orders. For more complex
operations there may be a need bar coding for inventory and
customizable reporting. Some distributors offer a base
program with the option of adding modules, which are
available immediately or as needed in the future. This is a
great option to have as your maintenance operation becomes
more efficient and additional features and customizations
are desired.

Implementation must be quick and efficient. After all, a
CMMS that will be cumbersome to get up and running will only
tie up more time and resources. Features like wizards or
other automated entry will make implementation exponentially
faster and will have you on your way to maintenance
efficiency in very little time.

Technical support for implementation must be available and
personnel should be on hand on an ongoing basis for any
future challenges that may arise. Part of this support
should be periodic update releases to keep your technology
current in this fast paced digital age. Remember, CMMS is an
investment in the productivity of your maintenance
department. A maintenance software distributor should be
reputable and have been in business for a number of years to
insure that your software will serve its purpose for many
years to come.

A fully working demonstration of the program is probably the
most useful tool that you will have in your evaluation of
any CMMS. Install the program that you are considering and
begin implementing it. This will give you a solid idea of
all of the issues we have discussed in this article. You
will be able to find out what kind of time frame to expect
for implementation and may evaluate the usefulness and
availability of the features that you need. While evaluating
demonstration software you may call the distributor with
questions and see for yourself what kind of support is
available and if it will readily meet your requirements.

As you know, good Computerized Maintenance Management
Software can be the backbone of your maintenance department.
Be sure that you choose the right CMMS to fit your
department’s needs and start optimizing today!

Music Video Codecs

Copyright 2006 Peter Nisbet

The word ‘codec’ is short for Coder/DECoder or Compressor/DECompressor. It is a technology used basically to render data suitable for transmission using a set of protocols which must also be used for its reception. MP3 is an example of a common codec. They can be applied in hardware, software or in a combination of both. This article is specifically about audio codecs. Video signals will be discussed in another article.

Audio data can be compressed, resulting in a file smaller than the original. How much smaller depends on the type of codec , and data can be lost, resulting in a reduction in audio quality. The type of codec where data is lost is called Lossy, while the other type where data is not lost is called Lossless.

Lossless codecs work rather like Zip files. In zip files, the data is compressed to take up less space. In fact a zipper is a lossless file codec: you use the zipping software to compress the data, then you subsequently required the zipping software to decompress it to a readable form. NO data is lost, and this is how a Lossless codec works. It compresses the data for transmission then decompresses it to replay it. The file is in exactly the same form when played as it was prior to transmission.

Examples of Lossless codecs are Monkeys Audio, WavePack and FLAK. This gives the best playback sound quality. Typical players are Media Center and Winamp. This type of file naturally requires a Lossless codec for play-back, so will not play on an MP3 player. The main problem with this type of audio format is that it compresses at best only to 4:1.

Where greater compression is required, Lossy codecs must be used. With this type of system, part of the file data is lost or discarded to allow the enhanced compression. Lossy codecs can compress audio files down to 10:1 which is a massive saving in storage requirements. The way it does this is to discards parts of the file it considers is not required by the human ear. For example, the maximum frequency the human ear can detect is around 16 KHz so frequencies above this are cut out. Some codecs go down ever further to 12 KHz.

Also certain sound combinations are discarded, such as soft sounds occurring immediately after harsh loud ones. The human brain tends not to distinguish these soft sounds, so they would not be missed if removed from the file. Once the audio file is decoded, it is not restored to the original size. Hence Lossy codec is more of a coder-decoder than compressor-decompressor.

Examples of Lossy audio formats are MP3, Musepack, OGG Vorbis, WMA (Windows Media Audio) and MP4. There are various codec encoders and decoder also available, though the average person generally has no choice since they are ready installed in the hardware being used. A description of the software which actually carries out the work is beyond this article, but there are three main types: constant, variable and average bit-rate encoders. Higher bit-rates give better sound quality, but larger file sizes. The development of Lossy technology has revolutionized the way we buy music from hardware to downloadable software, but this is another subject.

You may have to download a specific codec to be able to open certain audio and video files you have either purchased or downloaded. If you have purchased the file, the codec will generally come with it, but with a free download, you may also have to download the relevant codec. You will probably be informed what codec is required to decode or decompress it. You should then search for the codec using a search engine and you will probably find it on free download.

The next article will discuss how codecs work with audio-video files and how their developed has tremendously reduced the download time for movies to such an extent that downloading from the internet is now commonplace and proving a problem for the movie studios.

Peter Nisbet writes articles about audio video file formats and the codecs required to transmit and receive them. For more technical information you can subscribe to his newsletter on
www.online-free-movies.com
where you will also find information on movie and music download techniques and the software and codecs required.

Building Business Credit for Small Business Owners

Entrepreneurs must separate their personal and business life. They need to in order to be seen as a typical consumer for credit purposes, so they aren’t turned down for a mortgage or car loan just because their credit score is low from business activity.

The key to understanding business credit is to know there are no laws protecting the business owner from the business credit bureaus, as there are with personal credit. For instance if you look on your personal credit report and find “anything” that is not accurate you can dispute it with the personal credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion). The bureaus are required to research the information for accuracy and then reply within 30 days or it has to be removed from your report.

For business credit reports there is no such law. You can have misleading or completely false information on the business credit report and no protection from the law.

I tell you this because of the value of having your business in compliance with the business credit market before you apply for credit under the business. Before you look at applying for credit under your business name you must have a business credit profile built that is separate from your personal credit and be in compliance. For example, you must have a business phone line listed with directory assistance and a business license. Without these two items most lenders won’t even consider your credit application. These are only two of hundreds of items lenders look at for your company’s compliance.

By applying for credit under your business and not having first established a business credit profile, which we refer to as “being in compliance”, obtain basic business credit without the use of your personal information and develop a business credit score, you can waste lots of time, money, and resources.

In order to obtain the credit score you must find companies that will establish credit for your business without using your personal credit information and then report the payment experiences to the business credit bureaus. By reporting the information a business credit profile will be established.

The business credit profile can be established as a Sole Proprietorship or Partnership in addition to a Corporation or LLC. However, with a Sole Proprietorship or Partnership the owner’s personal credit information may be included on their business credit report and vice-versa. In addition, as a Sole Proprietor or Partner in a Partnership you are personally liable for the debts of the business and all your personal assets are at risk in litigation.

Corporations and LLCs on the other hand afford the business owner liability protection and a separate credit profile. The owners may apply for credit under the business and obtain credit without a personal credit check or guarantee, if the credit grantor will do so. Our company, Business Credit Services, has researched the trade credit market over the last five years and found that there are thousands of companies that will do this if asked.

Our business focuses on getting companies in compliance with the trade credit market and matching companies seeking credit with those granting credit. It is extremely important for businesses to meet all requirements of the credit market in order to ensure a higher likelihood of an approval. In fact, not being in compliance with the credit market can cause red flags with credit bureaus and grantors. Most businesses will not grant credit to another business that has not taken the steps to set the company up with the proper licenses and local, state, and federal requirements.

Almost every business at one point will need some type of credit. To lower the risk of using your personal credit and guarantees and obtaining the best possible terms, start the steps necessary to build a business credit profile separate from your personal credit report. No one wants to find themselves in a position unable to obtain credit for a mortgage or car loan when you need it most.

You can discover the secrets of building a business credit profile separate from your personal credit with David Gass’ program “Success Steps to Business Credit”.

David Gass is the President and Founder of Business Credit Services Inc. His company provides coaching programs for small business owners and has developed a patent-pending process for building business credit. In addition the company offers incorporation services and business plan writing. Learn more about their services online at http://www.businesscreditbuilder.net

Be Happy, Join The Wednesday Worry Club

Of all the people who know me, no one would say I am afflicted with worryitis. They may say other things about me, which may or may not be true, but that’s another story.

If you ask me, and nobody has, worry is just a waste of time that could be used more profitably. Every hour of worry takes away from an hour of happiness. There is absolutely no “rhyme or reason” to spend one moment worrying.

Actually, there is a little “rhyme,” (it sounds more like rap than anything else), but I assure you there is absolutely no reason for it.

A friend has a cute motto he likes to call to mind; “Why worry when you can pray,” which makes perfectly good sense. If we would spend time we would use to worry and pray, we would discover little to unduly concern us.

Very little in life causes me to agonize or be anxious. I have better use of my time than wasting it in such a useless employment carrying no benefits or retirement.

This has not always been the case with me. Once, and not too long ago, I worried about everything. You name it, and I’ve worried about. My worry list was longer than the list of promises of a politician running for re-election.

Then I worried about missing something I should be worrying about, which was my Waterloo, and you know what happens when you miss the loo.

This is not to say I don’t have a worry in the world. There is the war in Iraq; the economy; and trying to remember what my wife asked me to bring home from the store tonight. If I’m not careful, I could easily slip back into those gala days filled with worry.

That was then, this is now. A few years back someone introduced me to a marvelous strategy dealing with worry. Since then, my worrying time has been cut to a bare minimum. Because I’m the kind of person I am, I want to pass this scheme along to my friends: both of you.

I call the plan, “The Wednesday Worry Club.” I simply referred to it as the WWC.

Very simply, anything that comes my way in the category of worrying, is jotted down on a 3×5 card, which is then placed in a special box called, “The Wednesday Worry Club Box.” The item on the card is forgotten as I drop it into the box. Every Wednesday I open up the box and go through the cards.

The cards are color-coded for convenience. Red cards are for serious items; green cards are for financial worries; blue cards are for items not needing immediate attention; and yellow cards are for issues with the Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage (the bulk of cards in the box are yellow — but you didn’t hear it from me).

The effect is simplifying my life and freeing up significant time previously occupied with worrying. I cannot tell you how this has enriched my life and I am anxious for you to experience the benefits of the WWC.

On Wednesday afternoon when I open the box, the cards fall into three categories.

One: Issues that are too late to do anything about. This is my favorite category. The theory being if you postpone anything long enough it will be too late to do anything about it. Many of the red cards fall into this area.

The interesting thing is, when the item is first put on the red card and placed in the box it seems to be extremely urgent, as though something needed to be done right away. However, placing it in the box and forgetting about it until Wednesday takes away the thorn of urgency.

Two: Issues that are no longer urgent, important, or needing any attention at all. This, too, is a favorite category. Too often a certain person in our house, (I’ll mention no names), insists that a thing needs immediate attention. However, some things postponed long enough take care of themselves.

Most issues, if left alone, will work themselves out without any outside help. And I consider myself outside help. The further outside, the more comfortable I feel.

Three: The final category, issues that can be postponed until next week. Many of these are green cards. As I go through the cards, regardless of their color, I try to postpone as many as I can.

There is a finesse in this aspect of the WWC. It takes a long time to develop expertise in the area of postponement.

The key to all of this, of course, is to carry about on your person at all times enough colored cards. It is a sad day when I run out of cards, usually the yellow cards.

Then a thought emerged in the back recesses of my mind. How many trees have been used to produce all these 3×5 cards I’ve been using. Immediately, I brought out a fresh red card and made a notation. I cannot wait until Wednesday to find out how this works out.

Of course, there is a better way than the WWC. David, that marvelous Shepherd Psalmist of the Lord wrote, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV.)

Instead of committing my anxious thoughts to cards, I could “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (Psalms 37:5 KJV).

Recently, the WWC has given way to the WNPM (Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting).

Wear’in Of The Tweed

A country road, a rail of high fences, the muted call of a bugle, the rustling of leaves, the yipping of hounds, the panting of a fox, the clopping of horse hooves and the sound of a thud after landing a high jump are some mental images usually associated with tweed. Like a fine timepiece and good bones, tweed fabric is a time honored classic that never goes out of style. Price wise, a tweed jacket will cost as much as someone
wants to invest into it. The tighter woven fabric in brown and
or black and white herringbone works well with solid color skirts and a tailored pair of dress pants. While, a looser woven tweed jacket in pink and purple, red and white or green and white has a way of dressing up a pair of denim or black jeans. A single strand of pearls or a jeweled pin, pearl studs or small gold hoop earrings and a classic styled wrist-watch
are just the right accessories for an eye pleasing effect.

Body type is very important when choosing a tweed jacket length
to wear. A form fitting short tweed jacket in a body hugging style is better for a small sized frame, while a semi-fitted
tailored one works better with a medium sized body and a boxy
style of tweed jacket is geared towards the larger sizes for a
more relaxed and a comfortable fit. After measuring the chest
under the arms and around the fullest part, the waist at the
indention in the middle of the body. The hips are measured at
the top of the leg and around the fullest part of them using a
cloth tape for a more accurate body measurement.Average sizes
are small, thirty-four to thirty-six, medium, thirty-eight to
forty and large, forty-two to forty-four. From the large size
add two inches for the extra large and four inches for the plus
sizes for a correct tweed jacket fit.

Tweed is a rough textured fabric originally made in the U.K.
It was weaved for comfort and warmth and worn by women entering
the workforce during the nineteenth and the twentieth centuries.
Coco Chanel was the first designer to take the tweed fabric and
revolutionize the way a tweed jacket was to be worn. A collarless boxy jacket lined with silk the same color as the silk blouse and underneath it and weighted down with gold chains, she had updated the look so well that it is still
a popular style today.

Matched with a tailored cotton blouse, a silk or cotton tee
shirt and paired with accents of leather such as; a leather belt, a good pair of leather shoes and a leather handbag will
add even more style to a tweed jacket. Dry cleaning is the best
method for keeping the tweed fabric wearable for years to come.

For ten years, the author sold skin care, custom undergarments,
and fragrance.

Stop Spam: How To Escape The Spam Hell-Hole

If you’re anything like me, you’re pretty sick of it, and just want it to stop. What? Spam, of course. This article gives you a solution to radically, and quickly, reduce the amount of spam messages you receive to a bare minimum.

Personally, I get hundreds of unsolicited spam emails every single day, inviting me to enlarge this, reduce that, pay off my debt with another debt (how does that work?)… you know the type.

I’m also subscribed to dozens of ezines as part of continuing research and keeping my ‘finger on the pulse’ - and apart from those that stand out from the crowd and offer really valuable information, I’ve mostly forgotten which ones I’m subscribed to, and which ones are unsolicited.

The danger is of course that by clicking the unsubscribe link on pure spam messages, you’re often just confirming your existence to the spammer. So unless I’m really sure it’s a genuine unsubscribe link, I steer well clear, which of course doesn’t help my email levels.

The issue is really about email messages I want to read, versus those I don’t - and what to do with those that I don’t want to read.

Sorting through them manually would take hours every day, which for most people is clearly impractical - so I looked for solutions that would help me out, and came across one that works very well for me.

As a result, I now get just a few relevant emails that I actually want, or need, to read, ready and waiting for me in my Inbox - with the rest already deleted off in my ‘Deleted’ folder.

So, what’s the solution?

The secret is to use Artificial Intelligence. No, not robots and sci-fi warriors, but the artificial intelligence of your very own PC. Sounds crazy? No, it’s very real, and very effective.

In fact, it’s your very own Spam-Sniffing Cyber-Pet, that stops spam in its tracks - you don’t have to feed, water or walk it, you just need to spend a bit of time training it to distinguish between the messages you do, and don’t, want to read.

It can take a couple hours at first, and then you’ll start noticing your spam dropping rapidly. Take a few minutes a day for a week or so, and I can practically guarantee your spam will have dropped by 98-99%. That’s what I call an excellent investment of your time.

After that, you’ll only need to spend a few minutes every now and again to keep your Spam-Sniffer’s training up to date. For example, if you get a message in the wrong place, just tell your Cyber-Pet, and it should filter it correctly next time.

Most of the time, this filtering is over 95% accurate - the more consistently you train it, the higher this accuracy level is. In fact, I can now go weeks without doing a thing - and my spam levels stay the same, i.e. exceedingly low.

The good news is that this solution is one-hundred percent free, and works on pretty much any operating system. According to New Scientist magazine, it “…does a wonderful job”.

All you need is a modicum of technical knowledge to set it up, and the patience to let it work its magic on your Inbox.

Here’s the URL: http://popfile.sourceforge.net/.

It’s a free download, and for once, after months of using it, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of ‘catch’.

What’s more, it’s literally saved me hundreds of hours over the past year, and is well worth the small investment of time and effort up front.

Quick Tips for Writing Love Letters

* Be in a good mood when writing a love letter. Never try to
write a love letter when you’re in a bad mood, not only will it
be more difficult to write but your bad vibes will make their
way into the letter.

* Write a love letter anytime. Don’t wait for a special occasion
to write one. Anytime you want to spice up your relationship is
a great time for a love letter.

* Your love letter should look appealing. Fountain pens look
nicer than ball point pens. Plain paper is fine, but try to
choose a better grade of paper stay away from lined paper or
paper with lots of designs printed on it.

* Think about why you’re writing. Do you want to say you had a
good time, are you asking for a date, are you expressing your
affection, do you want to know how they feel about you or do you
want to say I miss you?

* Always hand write your love letter even if your writing is
sloppy. Never type it unless your handwriting is truly
illegible. Don’t underline or write any words in all caps; it’s
like yelling.

* Only say what you really mean. Don’t make promises you can’t
keep and don’t write anything you may regret later. Once the
letter leaves your hands there is no guarantee it will stay
private. * A one page love letter is great. Love letters aren’t
meant to be long. As you get more comfortable, your letters may
get a little longer but don’t write a book.

* If you’re writing an erotic lover letter, talk about yourself
as well. If you wish to arouse you can write about how hot, wet,
positions and lingerie.

* Re-read your love letter to make sure it says what you mean.
You may want to write a rough draft first.

* Use a thesaurus to find unique words for your love letter,
such as: ~ Openers – Dear, Dearest, My Love, Dearest Love, My
Beloved, My Sweetheart, My Darling, My Sweet, Darling ~ Middle –
cherish, idolize, embrace, hold dear, adore, caress, desire,
fondle, fascinate, passion, smitten, enchanted, captivated,
treasure, stroking, touch, infatuated, precious ~ Endings –
yours sincerely, with love, all my love, truly yours, love, till
we meet again, your new friend

Sex During Pregnancy

It is important that you nourish your relationship as much as
your nourish your unborn child during pregnancy. Most women find
that their bodies grow large and unwieldy during pregnancy. Many
women are surprised to find that their sex drive actually
increases during pregnancy, particularly during the second
trimester. This is due to the increased amount of blood that is
coursing through your pelvis and vagina.

Is Sex Safe During Pregnancy?

Sex is safe during pregnancy provided you have a low risk
pregnancy with few complications. Your doctor will let you know
if you should avoid sex for any reason at all. Most women can
enjoy a healthy and fulfilling intimate relationship throughout
their pregnancy, right up until their delivery date.

Will I Enjoy Sex During Pregnancy?

Surprisingly, many women find that they are more sexually
aroused during their second trimester than they were prior to
pregnancy. The increased blood flow to the vaginal and a woman’s
growing bosom often results in a heightened sense of self and
sexual arousal.

Most women will shy away from sexual relations during their
first trimester when morning sickness and fatigue often get in
the way of love making. During the third trimester, some women
find themselves uncomfortably large and prefer not to be
intimate, whereas others continue having intercourse right up
until they go into labor.

Will Sex Hurt the Baby?

One of the most common concerns of fathers to be is that sex
will hurt the baby. Some men are afraid that they will bump into
the baby when they have sex. By and large however this concern
is unfounded. If your husband is overly concerned about having
sex during pregnancy, have him join you at your prenatal visits.
A little reassurance from your physician that he will not hurt
or bump into the baby may be all your husband needs.

Partners often react very individually when it comes to sex and
pregnancy. While some men find the site of their wife’s
blossoming body a true turn on, others are ambivalent or even a
little turned off by pregnancy. It is important that you are
open, honest and communicative with your partner about your
needs during pregnancy, and try not to take any emotions your
partner may be feeling personally.

Remember that pregnancy is often an emotional roller coaster,
and your husband or partner may be more concerned that you might
react differently, or may be scared of the idea of having a
family in general. Some men have a difficult time being intimate
with their wives even when they recognize that they will not
harm the baby, because they feel another presence is in the room.

That said, many men and women have remarkable sexual
relationships throughout their pregnancy. Even if you do not
engage in intercourse with your husband, it is important that
the two of you work on nurturing your relationship throughout
your pregnancy. Foot rubs, kissing, back rubs and holding hands
are all excellent ways to share some intimacy without actually
engaging in intercourse.

The best way you can ensure that you and your partner remain
close during your pregnancy is to check in with your partner on
occasion. Inform them of your needs, let them know where you are
coming from and what you need or want from them.

Positioning

If you and your partner are interested in maintaining a healthy
sexual relationship during pregnancy, then undoubtedly you must
be wondering what positions will work best for you as your belly
grows and expands. The best thing you can do during your
pregnancy is keep an open mind and be creative. Most women will
find that it is uncomfortable to enjoy sex in a missionary
position after about the first or mid second trimester. Try
flipping over, woman on top and even lying next to one another
during your pregnancy.

Nutrition – What are the Nutritional Needs?

Nutrition as it applies to our daily lives means that we take in what we need to maintain our body’s healthy state. Nutrition has become an important word thanks to the involvement of the USDA in our daily food requirements, and the FDA’s involvement in determining what is and is not dangerous for us to consume.

But what is our responsibility in the nutrition game? Do we understand what our nutritional requirements are, how to fulfill those requirements, and how to look for real nutritional value in our foods?

I’m not sure that nutrition has been successfully addressed in its own right. We hear nutrition in relation to our vitamin intake, our fortified cereals and milk, and in the context that we need “nutritional value” from our food choices. But what really is nutrition when applied to our daily bodily functions?

Today, we must determine how much nourishment we need, how much physical exercise we need, and how best to accomplish those ends. Calorie needs, nutritional needs, physical needs, and education about those needs now is information we should all understand, at least as it applies to our individual self.

If you will visit your local doctor, library, or fitness center, there is massive amounts of information available to help educate and to help you make good health choices, no matter what the age group.

Nutrition refers to the nurturing of our body, in our ability to keep it healthy and functioning as it is supposed to do. Our ability to provide the body with all it’s necessary food, vitamins, and minerals so that we continue to thrive in our daily life processes.

If you were to take a cross section of the population, and check for adequate levels of the most used and fortified vitamins and minerals, you would probably find that as high as 80% or the population is lacking in a least one of the vitamins and minerals.

Now, that doesn’t sound too bad, until you stop to think, what if it’s calcium? A calcium deficiency brings on osteoporosis, a deteriorating of the bone. This disease alone costs millions in medical expense to the population.

Can you see how a little more cooperation and open-minded participation on the part of our medical field could result in far fewer health problems? It would also have provided the general population with a viable way to discern their nutrition, vitamin and mineral needs, accurately.

So how do we determine that we are providing the essential nutritional needs? That knowledge comes by educating ourselves about what our individual needs are, the needs of our family, and then taking that knowledge and applying it to the foods we buy, that we prepare, and that our families consume.

Quite often, our vitamin and mineral needs outweigh our caloric needs. In those instances, we turn to manufactured vitamins and minerals to fill the gap. This is a part of our nutritional needs, also.

Nutrition is one of the most complex areas to gain useful knowledge about, because there are so many components, and because each person has their own individual needs.

Women needs differ from those of men, and older women’s needs differ from those of a young girl. As we age, our needs constantly change; therefore continual education about nutrition is a fact of life. The nutritional needs of a cardiac patient are different than those of a healthy, middle-aged hiker.

Can you see the complexity of the situation now? What we really need is to develop a scale that determines the nutritional needs of our bodies on a cellular level, so that as we age, as our physical condition changes, or our health changes, we can recalculate our needs, based on cellular changes and content in our body.

Individuality is the key to understanding each person’s nutritional needs, and then working to educate us is the key to fulfilling those nutritional needs. Good nutrition should be the ultimate goal of every person alive.

Budgeting Yourself Out of Business?

You do the research and the reading on the internet and decide to venture into the world of online marketing. This decision is made by hundreds of people each and every day.

The main attraction is the low overhead of an internet based
business. It’s quite compelling when compared to the traditional brick and mortar enterprise. But keep one thing
in mind. Low overhead does not translate to free.

Many have tried the free route and been truly disappointed. In the early days of internet marketing free ads and such
worked. Mainly because there was very little competition and shopping on the web was a new and novel idea.

Those days have been gone quite a while and successful marketing has become a very sophisticated process in recent years. Unfortunately, newcomers to the web are often lured into scams and schemes by information that is woefully outdated.

There are many activities, requiring more time than money, that can increase your marketing success. The secret is assessing which tactics will ultimately reward you and how much time and money you should invest in them.

Here is an example. As a newbie, without my own opt-in list,
safelist advertising seemed a viable option. After a month of dismal results, I knew that it wasn’t for me. Fortunately, just a few days after deciding to change marketing strategies, an offer to join a “safelist with a twist” came along.

Feeling that I had wasted so much time trying to market via the previous safelists I was tempted to ignore it. But the “twist” intrigued me. Being fairly certain why my previous efforts had failed, this “twist” seemed likely to solve the problem.

The owner of this safelist also published a newletter and I had been on his opt-in list for some time. His articles and tips were useful.I believed I could trust him. So I paid for the pro upgrade after joining the program.

Two months ago another marketer decided to run an experiment
using this safelist with a viral marketing program to grow his opt-in list. Naturally I watched the results with great interest. After about a month the growth of his opt-in list slowed to a halt.

I was astonished! In four months my income had increased dramatically using the same safelist program! Reviewing the data I found a singular difference. The experimenting marketer had used the free version of the safelist. He had fewer opportunities to mail and fewer recipients.

Invest your money when you don’t have time to waste and invest in programs endorsed by those you trust.
